Development Tools for 8051 Microcontrollers
8051 Target Boards
Phyton offers a few 8051-based target boards (header boards) supplied with
CodeMaster-52
toolset or separately. All Phyton target boards are very simple and inexpensive and include just very basic components allowing the target microcontroller to run and communicate to a JEM emulator. The boards are generally intended to be used either for application software debugging and/or as a "stamp" for mounting on more complex, custom made boards with necessary peripheral components. See the boards below.
TB2-LPC210X
(old p/n TS1-LPC210X)
Main features:
MCU: NXP/Philips LPC2106
2x10 pin ARM-JTAG compatible connector
Extension header for the MCU pins
User changeable crystal (16 MHz by default)
RESET circuit and button
DEBUG jumper for JTAG enable/disable
BSL jumper for bootloader enable/disable
RTCK pullup resistor
Push BUTTON with pullup status LED
Power plug-in jack
Single power supply: 5-9VAC/DC required
Alternative power supply input: pin 19 of the JTAG connector allows powering the board from Phyton JEM-ARM
Two on-board voltage regulators: 1.8V and 3.3V with up to 800mA current
Power supply filtering capacitor
Dimensions: ~2-1/2"x 2-1/4" (66x57 mm)
Four corner mounting holes
Can be ordered with a JEM-ARM emulator at extra
$35
TB2-LPC211X
(old p/n TS1-LPC211X)
Main features:
MCU: NXP/Philips LPC2194
2x10 pin ARM-JTAG compatible connector
Extension header for the MCU pins
User changeable crystal (16 MHz by default)
RESET circuit and button
DEBUG jumper for JTAG enable/disable
BSL jumper for bootloader enable/disable
RTCK pullup resistor
Push BUTTON with pullup status LED
Power plug-in jack
Single power supply: 5-9VAC/DC required
Alternative power supply input: pin 19 of the JTAG connector allows powering the board from Phyton JEM-ARM
Two on-board voltage regulators: 1.8V and 3.3V with up to 800mA current
Power supply filtering capacitor
Dimensions: ~3"x2-1/3" (70x60 mm)
Four corner mounting holes
Can be ordered with a JEM-ARM emulator at extra
$35
TB2-LPC213X

Third Parties' target boards
A variety of evaluation or header boards based on ARM microcontrollers are available in the market. Any of them, if featured with a standanard 2x10 pin ARM-JTAG compatible connector, can be used with CodeMaster-ARM IDE and JEM-ARM emulator.
